Journal of Communication Studies

This peer-reviewed scientific journal publishes theoretical and empirical papers and essays and book reviews that advance an understanding of interpersonal, intercultural or organizational communication processes and effects. Submissions may have a psychological, social, or cultural orientation. All theoretical and methodological perspectives are welcomed (see submission guidelines below).

JCS editor is Cary W. Horvath (Ph.D., Communication, Kent State University). She is associate professor and chair of the Department of Communication at Youngstown State University. She can be reached at clhorvath@ysu.edu

The founding editor of JCS, Lawrence Hugenberg, passed away unexpectedly in early summer 2008. He was
professor of communication studies at Kent State University. His is sorely missed by his family, colleagues and students.
